YPLS Players,
We start tournament play this week. Everyone plays this week except the consolation bracket (#11 vs. #12 game, which plays at 6pm next week). The final standings were sorted based on record. Tie breakers among matching records were sorted on head to head victories. The 56 record teams and also the 47 teams each had circular head to head victories (where team A beat team B, B beat C, C beat A) so the rankings within those groups were based on the season total run differential.
Coaches, please take a team photo and send it to wichitasoftball@gmail.com. These will be used in next year’s sponsor packets, so make it a good one!
Our sponsor visit this Wednesday takes us to O’Brien’s. Pizza is on special as usual, and the flipcup game is expected to continue on the high top counter across the center of the bar.
Kiwi picked up the third leg of our sponsor appreciation race (Turquoise can’t win twice).
Next week after the championship game we’ll rendezvous at Finn’s for the sponsor season finale visit. We’ll have raffles going all night for coolers, gift certificates, Coleman merchandise, and Coors Light and Miller paraphernalia. You must be present to win, so plan to attend!
